Welcome to Island Pet Pass ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the islandpetpass.com website and our pet import permit concierge services. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

Island Pet Pass provides pet import permit concierge services, including but not limited to:

  • Pet import permit application preparation and submission

  • Document review and verification

  • Coordination with veterinarians and government authorities

  • Travel planning assistance for pet relocation

  • Customer support throughout the import process

  • Other agricultural permits for the Commonwealth of the Bahamas

3. User Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Have the legal authority to enter into this agreement

  • Be the legal owner or authorized representative of the pet(s) for which services are requested

  • Provide accurate and complete information

4. User Responsibilities

Information Accuracy

You agree to:

  • Provide truthful, accurate, and complete information

  • Update information promptly when changes occur

  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials

  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access

Pet Health and Documentation

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring your pet meets all health requirements for travel

  • Obtaining necessary veterinary examinations and vaccinations

  • Providing all required documentation in a timely manner

  • Complying with all origin and destination country requirements

Compliance with Laws

You agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and government requirements related to pet travel and importation.

5. Service Process and Timeline

Application Process

  1. Complete our online application form

  2. Submit required documentation

  3. Pay applicable service fees

  4. Receive service confirmation and timeline

  5. Follow provided instructions and schedules

Processing Times

Service timelines depend on various factors including:

  • Government processing times

  • Completeness of documentation

  • Pet health status

  • Destination country requirements

  • Seasonal variations in government operations

We will provide estimated timelines, but cannot guarantee specific processing times due to factors beyond our control.

6. Fees and Payment Terms

Service Fees

  • All fees must be paid before service commencement

  • Fees are non-refundable except as specified in our refund policy

  • Additional fees may apply for expedited services or changes to applications

  • Government fees ($50.00), veterinary costs, and shipping charges are separate from our service fees

Payment Processing

  • Payments are processed securely through third-party payment processors

  • We accept major credit cards and other specified payment methods

  • Failed payments may result in service delays or cancellation

Fee Changes

We reserve the right to modify our fees with 30 days' notice. Changes will not affect services already paid for and in progress.

7. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be provided in the following circumstances:

  • Service failure due to our error (full refund)

  • Government rejection due to our error in application preparation (partial refund)

Non-Refundable Circumstances

No refunds will be provided for:

  • Changes in travel plans

  • Government rejections due to pet health issues or client-provided information

  • Delays caused by incomplete documentation from the client

  • Changes in government regulations or requirements

Cancellation Process

To cancel services, contact us in writing at info@islandpetpass.com. Cancellation fees may apply depending on the stage of service completion.

8. Limitations and Disclaimers

Service Limitations

We provide administrative assistance and document preparation services. We do not:

  • Guarantee permit approval

  • Provide veterinary services or medical advice

  • Control government processing times or decisions

  • Assume liability for travel delays or cancellations

No Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Island Pet Pass shall not be liable for:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

  • Lost profits, revenue, or business opportunities

  • Costs of substitute services

  • Travel-related expenses due to permit delays or rejections

  • Pet health issues or injury during travel

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for our services.

10. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Government shutdowns or policy changes

  • Natural disasters

  • Public health emergencies

  • Technical failures or internet outages

  • Acts of war or terrorism

11. Intellectual Property

Our Content

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is our property or used with permission and is protected by intellectual property laws.

User Content

By submitting information or documents to us, you grant us a limited license to use such content solely for providing our services.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, without regard to conflict of law principles.

  2. Mediation: If direct communication fails, disputes may be submitted to mediation

  3. Arbitration: Unresolved disputes may be subject to binding arbitration

15. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting updated terms on our website. Material changes will be communicated via email or website notice. Your continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
